We've decided to center our September GOF event around the Faithful Citizenship document/project of the USCCB, given the immediacy and significance of the 2008 presidential election--and the real need for people to broaden their understanding of what it means to be Catholic and a citizen of the United States.
There are bunches of great ideas on the USCCB Faithful Citizenship website, and we're also using the "Faithful Citizen, Faithful Catholic" book(let) from Saint Mary's Press.
I'm wondering if anyone else is working on any GOF events along these lines and has any resources, ideas, etc to share?
